Aldean "Woody" Wood, of Dixon, was born on November 9, 1943 in Forsyth County, North Carolina, son of Arthur Dean and Lessie Mae (Brown) Wood and departed this life at 1:35 a.m., Thursday morning, October 8, 2020 at his residence in Dixon. Mr. Wood had attained the age of 76 years, 10 months and 29 days.

Mr. Wood was united in marriage on December 5, 1985 at Tulsa, Oklahoma to Kathleen Lynn Hosp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lessie Wood and one grandchild Brittany Carol Jeffries.

Mr. Wood was a former minister for the Church of the Nazarene and at the time of his passing he was a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Lake Ozark. He had worked for Wal-Mart in several different departments, his last being the supervisor in the electronics department, retiring in 2005. Mr. Wood enjoyed Elvis Presley, traveling, the ocean and being with his family and friends. Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Wood include; his wife, Kathleen "Kathy" Wood of the home in Dixon; his children; Denise Berry (Steve) of Iberia, MO. Camille Sherrell (Lindsey) of Iberia,Mo. Neal Wood (Theresa) of South Carolina, Joel Wood of Winston Salem, N.C., Aaron Wood of Winston Salem, N.C., Amy Vineyard (Jimmy) of Dixon, Mo., Amber Asberry of Dixon, Mo.; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Wood at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 15, 2020 in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church at 755 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Lake Ozark, MO 65049 with Rev. Charles L. Kempf officiating.
