Obituary

Allen Leon Wiles of Fenton, MO, formerly of Dixon, MO, was born on July 22, 1936 in Dixon. He was the son of Tony Thomas and Jeanetta Elizabeth (Jones) Wiles and departed this life at 6:30 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014, in the Woodland Manor Nursing Home, Arnold, MO. Mr. Wiles had attained the age of 77 years, 10 months and 2 days.

Mr. Wiles was united in marriage on September 3, 1954, at Dixon, to Odelia Ruth Dake, and to this union, two children were born. He was preceded in death by his father in 1985 and his mother in 1999.

Mr. Wiles was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon, and also in Aurora, MO, and worked as a supervisor for Juvenile Shoe Company in Aurora. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, gardening and wood-working.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Wiles include: his wife, Ruth Wiles, Fenton; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark Allen and Dawn Wiles, Bartlesville, OK; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet Lynn and Jim Seladis, Fenton; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Truman Wiles and Olis and Sharon Wiles, all of Willow Springs, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Goldie and Linford Jennings, Dixon; four grandchildren, Justin and wife Amy, Alison and husband Peter, Kristen and Autumn; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Noah, Kaden, Collin and another grandson, Lucas, expected in two weeks; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Wiles at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, in the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon, with Rev. Thomas Hargrove, First Assembly of God, Aurora, officiating.

Interment was in the Vienna Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mr. Wiles were Justin Moody, Andrew Walker, Randall Jennings, Wendell Jennings, Lewis Wiles and Rodney Wiles.

Memorials are suggested by the family to the American Heart Association with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Dixon.
