Andreas Hollnberger, age 84, of Sillin, Germany, was born on November 25, 1938, at Kallmunz, Germany a son of Xaver and Maria (Reif) Hollnberger and departed this life on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his grandson's home near Dixon.

Mr. Hollnberger was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one son, Manfred Hollnberger and seven brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Hollnberger was of the Catholic Faith. He had worked for Stadtischer Friedhof Dreifaltigkeitsberg (Funeral Home), mostly as a groundskeeper, but whatever needed to be done around the funeral home.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Hollnberger include: his son, Ottmar Hollnberger of Germany; his eight grandchildren and their spouses; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Per Mr. Hollnberger's wishes, the family elected cremation under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. He will be returned to his home in Germany where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife.
