MRS. ANITA LAVERNE CARROLL

Anita Laverne Carroll, age 94, of  Crocker, was born December 22, 1929, a daughter of, Clair and Anna Mae (Peterson) Manes, and passed from this life on Monday, June 10, 2024, at her home in Crocker.

She was united in marriage on January 29, 1949, at Swedeborg, to Ikey Franklin Carroll, and to this union four children were born.

Anita was baptized early in life and was a member of First Baptist Church, Crocker.  She was a faithful volunteer at the Crocker Senior Citizens Center, as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker, who was always diligent in taking care of the needs of her family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Anita include: her children, Greg Carroll and wife, Lilly, Hubbard, Iowa; Randy Carroll and wife, Beverly, Iberia; Missy Steinbeck and husband, Linn, Redondo Beach, California; sister, Patsy Wilkes, Crocker; sister-in-law, Bonnie Manes, San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by Her husband, Ikey; one son, Marion Carroll; one grandson, Chris Carroll; her parents; two brothers, Bill Manes and wife, Marge; and Robert Manes; one sister, Mary Anne Jacobson and husband, Jake; and one brother-in-law, Billy "Duke" Wilkes.

Visitation for Anita will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m., with Bro. Doug Jacobson, officiating, all in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 North Commercial, Crocker, Missouri 65452.

Interment for Mrs. Anita Laverne Carroll will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.  Pallbearers for Anita will be Ron Manes, Jerry Thornsberry, Scott Jacobson, Kirby Wilkes, Dan Wilkes, and Mike Manes.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Mrs. Carroll to the First Baptist Church, Crocker or the Crocker Senior Citizens Center, with envelopes available at the funeral home, or in care of Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, P.O. Box 700, Crocker, Missouri 65459.
