Anne Marie  Wood, age 80, of Dixon, was born on March 7, 1945, at Winona, Minnesota, a daughter of Thomas and Irene (Peterson) Rowan and departed this life on Friday, April 11, 2025 at her home.

Mrs. Wood was united in marriage on December 16, 1967, at Winona, Minnesota to Byron Lawrence Wood and to this union, three daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her great-grandson, Leon; her brother, Dennis Rowan and her sister, Marilyn Marshall.

A woman of strong faith, Mrs. Wood was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rolla, where she also volunteered and had a soft spot in her heart for the homeless. She had been employed as a Licensed  Practical Nurse and had worked for the Department of Defense beginning in 1977 until her retirement in 2008.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Wood include: her husband of 57 years, Byron Wood of the home in Dixon; her three daughters, Tiana (Karl) Schreiber; Christy Wood (Nicholas Benshoff) and Katie Wood (Michael McMahon); five grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Clare, Hunter and Elizabeth; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Sam; her two sisters, Phyllis Rowan and Kathy (Rallo) Campe; and many other relatives and friends.

In honoring Anne's wishes, the family elected cremation under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon with a private Mass to follow at a later date and time.
