Obituary

Arlene Lee Hurst, age 58,  of Waynesville, formerly of Dixon, was born on August 25, 1967, at Lebanon, Oregon a daughter of Richard Lee and Sharon Louise (Hardenbrook) Hurst and passed from this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in the Phelps Health, Rolla.

Arlene had worked as a bus driver for Waynesville and Crocker until her health no longer would permit. She had attended the Assembly of God Church, Dixon and she enjoyed doing crafts, fishing, and anything to do with being on the river.

Those left to mourn the passing of Arlene include her daughters, Kaitlin Dry (Dalton) of Eldon and Lynsey Knapp (Brandon) of Rolla; her mother, Sharon Hurst, Waynesville; two brothers, Richard Hurst (Bobby Jo) and Lance Hurst, all of Dixon; her six grandchildren, Maxton, Malachi, Micah, Kurtis, Paxton, Charlotte, and Hazel who will be arriving in July; several nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Arlene was preceded by her father, Richard on October 22, 2012 and her brother, Shane Hurst on August 23, 2003.

Visitation will be held for Arlene from 10 a.m. until the time of her service at 12 noon, all on Monday, March 30, 2026 in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, 205 West Third Street, Dixon with Pastor Shannon Perry, Santee Community Church, officiating.

Interment will be in the Kenner cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers will be Lance Hurst, Richie Hurst, Duane McCoy, Jordan Hurst, Guy Ambrosia and George Coday.

Memorials are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the funeral home on the day of her service or c/o Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, P.O. Box GG, Dixon, MO 65459.
