Austin Matthew Carey, age 27, of Dixon, was born on September 10, 1997, in Madisonville, Kentucky, a son of Kim Carson and Augusta Lynn (Skeemehorn) Carey and departed this life on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at his residence.

Austin had worked in construction and at the time of his passing was employed with Redefined Construction and Remodeling. A kindhearted soul, Austin was always ready to help anyone in need.

Survivors include: his father, Kim Carey; two sons, Carson Elijiah Carey and Kyran Matthew Carey; his brothers, Spencer Carey, Zane Neisz; Zach Neisz; his sister, Keziah Neisz; and many other relatives and friends.

Austin was preceded in death by his mother, Augusta and his adopted father, Garlin Neisz.

The family elected cremation under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. A private burial will be held at a later date in the family cemetery plot in Kentucky.
