Barbara Jean Bristor, 79, of Dixon, was born on August 8, 1943, at Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of Kenneth, Sr. and Barbara Ellen (Timmerman) Carpenter and departed this life at 10:08 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her residence.

Barbara worked for over 20 years as a registered nurse before retiring. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and reading her Bible on a daily basis.

Those left to mourn the passing of Barbara include: her children, Zachary Smith, Torrid Smith, Renetta Smith and Misty Beamer; her sisters, Ellen Cory and Beverly Dennis, several grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.

Private graveside services were held for Barbara on Thursday morning, May 25, 2023 in the Idumea Cemetery, Laquey under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
