Barbara Ruth Kelly, of Dixon, was born on October 17, 1959 at Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Gary and Ruth (Wood) Nelson and departed this life at 4:36 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2020 at her residence in Dixon. Barbara had attained the age of 60 years, 6 months and 14 days.

Barbara had worked as a cook for several different restaurants and bars for most of her working life. She was a member of the Lions Club and enjoyed water skiing, riding motorcycles, knitting and doing crossword puzzles.

Those left to cherish the memory of Barbara include: her three sons, Eric Vorum and Lloyd Vorum, both of Waynesville and Brian Vorum of the state of California; two brothers, Sheldon Nelson and Merlin Nelson, both or the state of California; two sisters, Debbie Nelson, state of Oregon and Cathy Nelson, state of Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held for Barbara will be held in the near future.
