Barbara Ann Wright, of Crocker, was born on February 2, 1940, at St. Louis, a daughter of Ivan and Loretta (VanMetter) Lachance, and departed this life at 4:25 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016, in the Osage Beach Health Care, Osage Beach. Mrs. Wright had attained the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 4 days.

Mrs. Wright was united in marriage on September 9, 1955, at Bonne Terre, to Donald Wright and to this union, four children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 31, 2010; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Wright had worked as a cook at Fort Leonard Wood as well as being a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Wright include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Polly Wright and Michael and Jenny Wright, all of Crocker; two daughters, Donna Wright and Melissa Wright, both of Crocker; three brothers, Wayne Lachance, Crocker; Dennis Lachance and Harry Lachance, both of the state of Kentucky; three sisters, Dianna Miller, Crocker; Debbie Hill, Monroe City and Brenda Tate, Macon; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
