Obituary

Betty Ann Cooper, of Crocker, was born on October 22, 1938, at Crocker, a daughter of Virgil and Sylvia (Tomlinson) Kelso and departed this life at 7:01 a.m., Sunday, July 7, 2013, in the Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center, Tuscumbia. Betty had attained the age of 74 years, 8 months and 15 days.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Everal Kelso; and two sisters, Patsy Kelso and Beverly Kelso.

Betty was blessed with three children who were the light of her life. She spent many years in the food service industry and lived in several different states, traveling with the children's father, who was in the Army for twenty years. She enjoyed making new friends and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Those left to mourn the passing of Betty include: one son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Isabelle Cooper, Crocker; two daughters, Debra Kennedy, St. Robert and Linda Cooper, Byron, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Lou Deardeuff, Crocker and Rosetta Haskins, Lebanon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held for Betty at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with Bro. Jimmy Moore officiating. Two special vocal selections were played for the service.

Private burial was in the Antioch Cemetery near Crocker, under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker.

Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the office of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
