Beverly Kay Carmack, of Crocker, was born on September 16, 1946, at St. Louis, a daughter of George F. and Amelia Berniece (Creech) Carmack, and departed this life at 5:47 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2016, at her residence. Beverly had attained the age of 70 years, 2 months, and 11 days.
Beverly was preceded in death by her father on January 9, 2004; her mother on July 14, 1991; one sister, Wanda Joyce Engels on July 8, 2011; a great-niece, Jessica Lynn Wray and a great-great-niece, Jessika Wray.
Beverly was baptized at the age of 9 years by Art Gott in the Tavern Creek, Crocker. She graduated from Crocker High School in 1964, she kept record of who rode the school bus from 7th grade through her high school years. Following graduation, she attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin for 2 years. Beverly worked for the Department of Defense, Fort Leonard Wood for over 36 years, retiring July 1, 2003. She loved living in the country, animals, reading, doing puzzles, feeding hummingbirds, collecting WWII videos and books, but her real challenge was sending our Christmas cards early, often staying up until 2 or 3 a.m. getting them out.
Those left to mourn the passing of Beverly include: her sister, Sella Bales, Dixon; her brother-in-law, John Engels, North Bend, Oregon; nephews and nieces, Cynthia Wray, George Bales, James Bales, Teddy Bales and wife, Joyce, Debra Engels, Karen Koch and husband, Monte and John Engels; great-nephews and great-nieces, Jerry (Stephanie) Wray, Jodi (Keith) Kissinger, Jennifer (Brandon) Tollison, George Steven Bales, James Bales, Lucretia (Shawn) Wethington, James (Bo) Smith, Brent (Brittany) Smith, Mitchell Koch, Mason Koch, Madeline Koch and G. Miller Koch; great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces, Alisa Wray, Kalvin Wray, Emmett Wray, Lincoln Wray, Desiree Kissinger, Mattie Kissinger, Jenna Kissinger, Cody Tollison, Kelcy Tollison, Hayden Wolfe, Noah Wolf, Tanner Wethington, Dylan Wethington, Addilynn Wethington, Tyler Rosemann, Wyatt Smith, Clara Smith, and Kendall Smith; and many other relatives, friends and neighbors.
Beverly always said she was rich, beyond measure, because of her family, friends and neighbors. "They accepted me for who I was and made me feel needed."
Private graveside services were held for Beverly at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2016, in the Crocker Cemetery, under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
