Birtha Jones McWilliams, of Hazelwood, was born on February 21, 1929, near St. James, in Phelps County, Missouri, a daughter of Ray and Ollie Mae (Helton) Jones and departed this life at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the Mount Carmel Senior Living Center, St. Charles. Mrs. McWilliams had been in failing health and had attained the age of 90 years, 10 months and 18 days.

Mrs. McWilliams was united in marriage on May 14, 1971, at Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Wilbur Eugene McWilliams. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 12, 1996; her father, Ray on March 22, 1971; her mother, Ollie on April 15, 1966; four brothers, Thurman, Seldon, Jack and Jesse Jones and two sisters, Alma Buckner and Maude Reinwald.

Mrs. McWilliams was baptized early in life and had been a member of the Christian Church near Iberia. She had worked for S. Louis Auto Auction in the cafeteria as a food server.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. McWilliams include: several nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
