Bonnie Lucille Smelcer, of Rolla, Missouri was born on November 11, 1927, at Hawkeye, daughter of Everett Newton and Elsie Maude (Short) Wall and departed this life at 5:56 a.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Oak Pointe Rolla Senior Living. Mrs. Smelcer had attained the age of 93 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Bonnie was united in marriage on November 1, 1947 at Crocker, Missouri to Cyrus James Smelcer and to this union, four children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 25, 2012; her brother, Ernest Gene Wall on January 5, 2007; two sisters, Hattie M. Jensen and Lorene Knaus both in 2020; and a great-granddaughter, Kylee Joy Smelcer.

Mrs. Smelcer was baptized early in life and had attended the Christian Church in Swedeborg. She enjoyed cooking, baking, working in the yard, playing the piano and being with her family. Mrs. Smelcer was a loving and devoted housewife, mother and homemaker.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Smelcer include: her children: James (Deborah) Smelcer, Warrenton; Michael (Ruth Ann) Smelcer, Port Richey, Florida; Eric (Valerie) Smelcer, St. Charles and Gail (Randy) Burd, Rolla; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation from 12 til service time at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Bro. Lee Todd officiating.

Interment is in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Smelcer are Jim Smelcer, Mike Smelcer, Eric Smelcer, Justin Burd, Randy Burd and Randal Burd, Jr.
