Bonnie Fey (Evans) Smith, 86, of Dixon, was born on December 29, 1934, at Dixon, a daughter of Clay William and Martha Irene (Kelley) Evans and departed this life at 2:45 a.m., Monday morning, July 19, 2021 in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon.

Mrs. Smith was united in marriage on October 25, 1951, at Crocker, to Vernon Henry Smith and to this union, 2 sons were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 24, 2021; her son, Donald Henry Smith on June 14, 2021; her father, Clay on November 13, 1975; her mother, Irene on February 14, 2001, and two brothers, Leroy Evans on June 4, 2005 and Norman Evans on October 7, 2010.

Bonnie was baptized on April 21, 1963 and was a member of the Santee Community Church near Dixon, and later attended the Dixon Church of God. Bonnie worked a few years at LBB Manufacturing in Iberia, but most of all she enjoyed being a housewife and homemaker. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidering, gardening, traveling and eating out.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Smith include: her son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Denice Smith, Edwards; daughter-in-law, Sharon Smith, Dixon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and Russell Blackwell, Jonesboro, Arkansas and Debbie and Bruce Doublin, Lebanon; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Evans, Dixon; four grandchildren, Brian (Renae) Smith, Robert (Heather) Smith, Julie (Shawn) Alexander and David (Nicole) Aldurien; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Troy, Stormy and Leland; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation from 11 a.m. until 12 noon service time on Thursday, July 22, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Rev. Bruce Doublin, Sunny View Free Will Baptist Church, Lebanon officiating.

Interment in the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Smith are Brian Smith, Robert Smith, David Aldurien, Leland Alexander, Jacob Smith and Troy Hofius. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Smith, Stormy Smith and Julie Alexander.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Perpetual Care Fund for the West Fairview Cemetery.
