Obituary

Brenda L. Warner, 67, of Dixon, was born on May 22, 1954, at Fleming-Neon, Kentucky a daughter of William and Rachel (Tyree) Halcomb, and departed this life at 3:57 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021 in the Mercy Springfield Hospital.

Brenda was united in marriage on March 23, 1984, at St. Robert to Curtis George Warner. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 16, 2017; her father, William in February 2009; her mother, Rachel in October 1972; one brother, Bob Blair and one sister, Dorothy Ison.

Brenda was baptized early in life while attending the First Baptist Church of Beaver Dam, Kentucky and at the time of her passing was a member of the Hancock Christian Church. She was very active in her church serving in many positions as well as teaching children's church. Brenda started her career in the medical field first as an EMT-P, working for the Dixon, Pulaski County and Rolla Ambulances as well as in the Emergency Departments. She later received her nursing degrees and had worked for the Pulaski County Health Department for many years. Brenda enjoyed her flower gardens, her many projects in her garage, traveling and family get togethers and reunions.

Those left to mourn the passing of Brenda include: her children, Matthew Warner (Jennifer Armstrong), St. Louis; Amy and Travis Mason, Lawrence, Kansas and Liz Warner, West Plains; her siblings, Linda (Wes) Cormican, Crown Point, Indiana; Jerry (Brenda) Halcomb, Bowling Green, Kentucky; Jimmy (Sherry) Halcomb, Grand Rivers, Kentucky; Verna Halcomb, Beaver Dam, Kentucky and Greg Halcomb, Beaver Dam, Kentucky;  her five grandchildren, Shelby, Emma, Haden, Jackson and Simon; her one great-grandson, Jax; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Brenda  from 5 – 7 p.m., on Friday, October 1, 2021 and from 9 – 10 a.m. with her funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Gary Day, Hancock Christian Church officiating.

Interment will be in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Hancock Christian Church with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
