Brian Lee McCance, of Jefferson City, formerly of Dixon, was born on May 21, 1977, at Camp Pendleton, California a son of Janet Lynn Ruwwe, and departed this life on Saturday, September 15, 2012, in rural Maries County. Brian had attained the age of 35 years, 3 months and 24 days.

Brian was a 1996 graduate of Dixon High School and had worked in construction. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his children, being in the great outdoors, and was an avid sports fan.

Those left to mourn the passing of Brian include: his son, Anthony McCance and his daughter, Mackenzie McCance, both of Dixon; his mother and step father, Janet and Kim Lein, Iberia; the mother of his children, Sarah G-Sell, Dixon; three brothers, Sonny McCance, Jefferson City; Josh Lein, Dixon and Chris Alan McCance, II, Sullivan; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Don and Peggy Ruwwe; maternal great-grandmother, Marguritte White, St. Robert; paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Rhonda and Eddie Poebla, Sullivan; Uncles; Aunts; Nephews; Nieces; Cousins; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held for Brian at 12:00 noon, Friday, May 21, 2012, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Staff Pastor Paul Ridenour, New Hope Fellowship Church, Fenton officiating. "Amazing Grace", "Softly and Tenderly", and "I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You" were played for the service.

Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Brian were Sonny McCance, Royce Ruwwe, Josh Lein, David Schneider, Daniel Schneider and Eric Ruwwe.
