Cainan Richard Edwards, of Dixon, was born on July 29, 2003, at Rolla, a son of Garrett Lee Ryan and Tina Ann (Hogshooter) Edwards and departed this life at 3:52 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Cainan had attained the age of 16 years, 11 months and 1 day.

Cainan was baptized as young child and at the time of his passing was a member of the Lighthouse Worship Center, Dixon. He attended the Dixon R-I School and had completed his junior year. Cainan was also enrolled in the Waynesville Career Center where he was studying welding and was working part time at the Boiling Springs Campground near Dixon. He was big hearted, loyal and always made the room light up when he walked in, he just enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Those left to mourn the passing of Cainan include: his father, Garrett Edwards, Lebanon; his mother and step-father, Tina and Chris Sorbello, of Dixon; his grandparents, Louise Beal Shriner, Tuscumbia; Debbie Johnston, Lebanon and Donald and Debbie Edwards, of Kansas City, Missouri; his great-grandmother, Darlene McDaniel, Lebanon; his brothers, Josh Edwards, St. Louis, Levi Edwards, Owen McKinnon and Leethan Edwards all of Dixon; his sister and brother-in-law, Carlea and Chase Kloeppel, Dixon; two step brothers, Bryon Sorbello, Dixon and Michael Sorbello of the state of California; nephew, Dalton Kloeppel; nieces, Oaklynn Kloeppel and Ava Kloeppel; his girlfriend, Katana Cordoves; uncles, aunts, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Cainan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Hogshooter, Sarah Hogshooter, Gary Shriner, Raymond and Florence Beal, Gary McDaniel, Harold and Lucille Pearson and Elby Edwards.

Visitation from 9 - 11 a.m. with the funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon  Pastor Ryan Hogshooter will officiate.

Interment will be the in the Seaton Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Cainan are Bryon Sorbello, Brayden Smith, Joey Mays, Chase Kloeppel, Julie Sillman and Brocke Yates. Honorary Pallbearers are Levi Edwards, Leethan Edwards, Owen McKinnon, Donnie Koch and Walter Track.
