Obituary

Carl Eugene Warnol, of Dixon, was born on September 1, 1959, at Harvey, Illinois, a son of William Theron and Thelma Viola (Wagoner) Warnol, and departed this life on Friday, August 23, 2013, in Mercy Hospital, St. Louis. Carl had attained the age of 53 years, 11 months, and 22 days.

Carl was united in marriage on July 23, 2004, at Dixon, to Cindy Marie Hines. He was preceded in death by his father on March 8, 2001; his mother on May 29, 2012; one brother, William Chesley Warnol on March 22, 2002; two sisters, Erma Louella Warnol in April of 1943, and Neoma Bernice Sommer on May 19, 2008; and one brother-in-law, Norman Evans on October 7, 2010.

Carl was raised in the Apostolic Faith Church, Jerome and was baptized early in life. He was a member and past master of Arlington Lodge No. 346 A.F. & F.M., was a member and past president of the International Union of Fire Fighters IAFF No. 3905, and had volunteered for both the Dixon Fire Department and the Dixon Ambulance. Captain Warnol had been employed with the Rolla City Fire Department for twenty-two and one-half years retiring in June of 2007 due to his health. He and his wife are the current owners of CW's Gun and Knife and Action I Loans, Rolla. Carl loved to hunt, and float the Gasconade.

Those left to mourn the passing of Carl include: His wife, Cindy Warnol, Dixon; two sons, Clinton Warnol, St. James; and Michael George and wife, Adelle, Vienna; two daughters, Lindsey Warnol, Jefferson City and Jennifer George, Rolla; one brother, Donald Warnol and wife, Tina, Dixon; four sisters, Barbara Warnol, Kathryn Warnol, and Carolyn Jean Evans all of Rolla; and Relora Wills, Dixon; two brothers-in-law, George "Bud" Sommer, Dixon; and Bill Hines, Flat; six grandchildren, Makiah, Taylor, Koby, Billy, Kamden and Salene with Tanner Lee Eugene expected in October; one great grandson, Treyton; and many other relatives and friends.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Carl will indeed be sadly missed by his dear family and all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2013 with a Masonic service under the auspices of the Arlington Lodge No. 346 A.F. & A.M., Dixon, at 7 p.m., and 10 – 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral, Dixon.

Funeral services will be conducted for Carl at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in the Dixon Chapel of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes with Pastor Don Arthur, Apostolic Faith Church, Jerome, and Rev. Ron Smith, Assistant Fire Chief, Rolla, officiating.

Interment will be in the Warnol Family Cemetery, Dixon, under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes. Pallbearers for Carl were Jeff Breen, Ryan Mckay, Steve Huffman, Mike Buchler, Allen Michaels, Scott Proffitt, and John Marti. Honorary pallbearers were Terry Eyrtel, Don Jordan, Don Plake, Mike Manley, Larry Seest, and Mike Crowley.
