Carol Lou Carson, age 71, of Dixon, was born December 28, 1952, at Waynesville, a daughter of Frank Everett and June Dorothy (Marso) Campbell, and passed from this life on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinic, Columbia.

She was married to Kenneth "Kenny" Neil Carson at Dixon, on July 11, 1970, and to this union two children were born.

Carol was dedicated at birth by her grandfather, Jim Campbell into the Christian faith and had been a life member of the First Christian Church, Dixon.  She and her husband, Kenny were owners and operators of Carson Construction, a general construction and land development company.  Carol was an active member of the community and served on numerous boards in Pulaski and Phelps County. After closing Carson Construction, she authored and illustrated nine children's books under the name of CC Carson, but most of all she was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Those left to mourn the passing of Carol include: her children, Kirk Carson, Bentonville, Arkansas; Kimberly Arnold and husband, Anthony, Rolla; six grandchildren, Victoria Katherine Siribouth and husband, Patrick; Taylor June Dunn and husband, Corey, Megan June Carson, Jacqueline Grochowski and husband, Caleb, Carson Alexander Arnold and wife, Aleasia, and Katherine Marie Arnold, five great-grandchildren, Audrey Elizabeth Dunn, Oliver Carson Dunn, Kenneth Grochowski, Michael Grochowski, and Travis Grochowski anticipated in June; loving companion, Mike Bexten, Freeburg; siblings, Tom Campbell and wife, Pat, Waynesville; Wanda Gray and husband, Harry, and Shirley Dickerson, all of Dixon; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny on February 4, 2003; father, Frank on July 2, 1990; and her mother, June on February 21, 1987.

Visitation for Carol Carson will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Monday, June 10, 2024, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.on Tuesday in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 205 West Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m.,  with Rev Gary Day, officiary, under the direction of Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.

Interment for Mrs. Carol Carson will be in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.  Pallbearers for Carol will be Kirk Carson, Carson Arnold, Mike Bexten, Colby Bexten, Corey Dunn, and Greg Lee.  Honorary pallbearer for Carol is Ryan Jones.
