Carolyn Etta Riley Powers, of Crocker, was born on December 11, 1946, in Swedeborg, Mo a daughter of Harlin Leslie and Cora Emogene (York) Riley and departed this life at 12:40 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018, in the Life Care Center of Waynesville. Carolyn had attained the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 23 days.

Carolyn was united in marriage in 1964 to Ed Powers. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robbie Dawn Darden on December 9, 2014; her father, Harlin on October 19, 1985; her mother, Cora on February 7, 2001; two brothers, Harlin Pratt Riley on November 26, 1951 and Luther Wayne Riley on January 18, 1995 and an infant sister, Anna Mae Riley at the age of 3 days on February 12, 1943.

Carolyn had worked and retired as an office clerk and manager for the Calibration office at Fort Leonard Wood. She enjoyed crocheting and Facebook games but above all she loved and savored the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to mourn the passing of Carolyn include: her two daughters and one son-in-law, Cora Regina Cantrell of Crocker Mo and Rhonda and Bill Galegor, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; her former husband, Ed Powers of Crystal River, Florida; her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Butch Jones, of Crocker Mo; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.
