Charles C. Ray, of Dixon, was born on June 6, 1936, at Dixon, a son of Dorsey Lee and Martha Frances "Mattie" (Neeley) Ray and departed this life at 3:00 a.m., Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018 at his residence near Dixon. Mr. Ray had attained the age of 82 years and 6 days.

Mr. Ray was united in marriage to Lois Helen Baker who preceded him in death on December 5, 1996. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his father on June 12, 1982; his mother on March 28, 1974; one step-son, Lee Lawson and two brothers, Sterling Ray on December 17, 2008 and Paul Ray on June 29, 2016.

Mr. Ray was a member of the Seaton Faith Fellowship Church. He had worked in the timber industry early in his life and later as a farmer. He enjoyed the farm life, raising cattle, and going to the cattle sales.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Ray include: his companion of twenty-one years, Geneva Outlaw, Dixon; two step-sons, Tommy Lawson and Ralph Lawson; one brother, Robert Ray, Dixon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Stella and Glen Guffey, Topeka, Kansas and Zedna and Gene Wangerin, Phoenix, Arizona; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.
