Charlie Randall O'Neal, of Dixon, was born on January 1, 1961, at Fort Rucker, Alabama, a son of Preston Carver and Faye (Greene) O'Neal and departed this life at 12:25 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017, in the Landmark Hospital, Columbia. Mr. O'Neal had attained the age of 56 years, 11 months and 3 days.
Mr. O'Neal was united in marriage on June 30, 1979, at Dixon, to Brenda Joyce Hogshooter and to this union, four children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Faye O'Neal and three brothers, Michael O'Neal, John O'Neal and Leo O'Neal.
Mr. O'Neal was a United States Army veteran with the Missouri National Guard and an over the road truck driver, having owned his own truck and contracting with different companies. He loved his dogs and enjoyed trains, tinkering on his truck, building fish tanks and fishing.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. O'Neal include: his wife, Brenda O'Neal, Dixon; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Timothy and April O'Neal, Craig, Colorado and Charlie O'Neal, Jr., Dixon; two daughters and one son-in-law, Stephanie and Dennis Sheppard, Huron, Ohio and Tina O'Neal, Dixon; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Tina O'Neal, Springfield and Preston, Jr. and Lori O'Neal, Dixon; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Kathy and Jerry Smith and Peggy Blackham, all of Dixon; Ann McDaniel, state of California and Donna Diechert, state of Ohio; eleven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation from 10 - 11 a.m. and the Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Dooley, Word of Life Fellowship Church, Dixon, officiating.
Interment will be in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mr. O'Neal will be Carmon Hogshooter, Mike Smith, Elliott Smith, Robert Forthman, Daniel Gray and Joe Neston.
