Cynthia "Cindy" Christine Sears, of Dixon, was born on December 1, 1958, at Thornton, Illinois a daughter of Charles A. and Maletta Georgette (Sommer) Sears and departed this life at 9:20 a.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021 in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. Cindy had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 62 years, 3 months and 23 days.

She was preceded in death by her father, Art on January 19, 2017; her grandfather, Henry Sommer in 1979 and her grandmother, Frances Sommer in 1968

Cindy was baptized by Pastor Lloyd Mattocks and was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Worship Center, Dixon until she became ill. She was a graduate of Dixon High School. Cindy enjoyed knitting, drawing, painting and doing most any art work, most of all she enjoyed her cats and listening to music.

Those left to mourn the passing of Cindy include: her mother, Maletta Sears, Dixon; her brothers and sisters, Charles "Chuck" (Sherry) Sears, Mexico, Missouri; Karl (Linda) Sears; Andy Sears, Dale Sears, Shelley Moore and Gail Sears all of Dixon; her church family and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., service time on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Lloyd Mattocks, Lighthouse Worship Center, Dixon and Marianne Strong officiating.

Interment will be in the Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Cindy are Jacob Price, Patrick Moore, Christopher Moore, Jason Sears, Rick Kelley and Matt Laughlin.
