Cleta Mae Colley of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Dixon, was born on February 22, 1937, at Iberia, a daughter of James Albert and Blanche (Slawson) Alexander and departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Mrs. Colley had attained the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 21 days.
Mrs. Colley was united in marriage on July 10, 1954, at Dixon to Herbert Houck Colley, Sr., and to this union three children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 23, 2009; her father on July 16, 1985; her mother on April 15, 1987; and two brothers, James Lyman Alexander and Billy Gene Alexander.
Mrs. Colley was co-owner and operator of Colley's Snackett in Dixon for many years. She later retired from Wal-Mart after 23 years. She enjoyed Dominos, puzzling, card games and spending time with her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Colley include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandra DuPriest, Cordova, Tennessee and Cindra and Arthur Shinabargar, Lees Summit; one son and daughter-in-law, Herbert H., Jr. and Denise Colley, Bella Vista, Arkansas; two sisters, Lois Beydler, Canyon Country, California and Betty Raines, Clearwater, Florida; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Colley at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in the Dixon Cemetery with Pastor Duane Mitchell, Dixon, officiating.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Dixon.
