Clifford Ray White of Dixon, was born on December 23, 1937, near Salem, a son of Clifford Henry and Margie L. (Naucke) White and departed this life at 8:10 a.m., Sunday, April 21, 2019, at his residence. He had attained the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 29 days.
Mr. White was united in marriage to Sandra Dean Purcell in 1957 and to this union one son, Gary, was born. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy, on September 25, 2001; his father on March 14, 1983; his mother on May 24, 1998; one infant sister, Margie Ann White; one brother, Edward White in 2007; his cousin raised as a brother, Raymond "Junior" White in 2014; and brother-in-law, Ermil Cook in 2017.
Cliff was a veteran of the United States National Guard and a member of the Word of Life Fellowship Church, Dixon. His adult working career began at the Missouri Department of Transportation and then he delivered for the Colonial Baking Company for over thirty years. Following his retirement he transferred vehicles for Sellers-Sexton and delivered for the Ad Tracker. Clifford was a long time member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Lodge 118 in Salem and served as an officer. He enjoyed fishing, mowing his yard and gardening with his fiancé Linda. Cliff was an avid lifetime bowler, wining his division at the Missouri State Senior Tournament qualifying him for The National Bowling Stadium in Reno in November 2004, where he placed 33 rd .
Those left to mourn the passing of Clifford Ray White include: one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dr. Gail White, Camdenton; his fiancé, Linda Campbell, Dixon; one granddaughter Darrah Kasicki and her husband, Kirk; one great-granddaughter, Emma Grace, all of Maryland Heights; Linda's sons, Carless and Matthew, her granddaughters, Arianna, Cassandra, Catrina, and Sidney, and great-grandchildren Aase, Dalton, Nathan, and Ryleigh; Cliff's one brother, Jerry White and his wife, JoAnn, St. Charles; two sisters, Sue Cook, Rolla, and Shirley Lucas and her husband Van, Salem; one cousin, Janet White, Kirksville; and many loved nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
