Cora Mae Foster, age 85, of Dixon, was born in Maries County, Missouri on August 27, 1937, a daughter of Benjamin Dewey and Eva (Russell) Beal and departed this life at 2:06 a.m., on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at her residence near Dixon.

Cora was preceded in death by her son, Charles Dean "Charlie" Foster on February 19, 2016; her parents; a granddaughter, Mallory Foster; the father of her children, Billy Oneil Foster and her siblings, Raymond, James, Francis, Calvin, Roger and Darrell Beal, Lucille Bell,  Dorothy Tapley and Katherine Catron.

Mrs. Foster was baptized early in life and had attended the Lighthouse Worship Center near Dixon. She had worked as a seamstress for all her working life as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and canning and in her spare time she enjoyed reading. Her greatest love was her children and nothing gave her more joy than listening to them playing music and singing.

Those left to mourn the passing but cherish the memory of Mrs. Foster include: her children, Scharlene Elms, of Rolla and her children, Nathan and Tiffany; Ronald Foster, Dixon and his children, Elicia, Brittany, Anthony and Justin; Billy Foster, Dixon and his children, Dylan, Cooper, River and Sarah; Randy Foster and his wife, Anna, Dixon and his children, Kasey, Matthew, Jesse and Robert; Bobby Foster, Dixon and his children, Michelle and Travis; Tena Warner, Dixon and her children; Cameron, Kalleigh, and Caiden; and Donna Foster, Dixon and her daughter, Maddy; Charlie's children, Dustin, Amanda and Jerrica; her four siblings, Charles Beal and Clarence Beal of Mexico, Missouri, Larry Beal, Moberly and Annie Larock, Midwest City, Oklahoma; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Mrs. Foster from 5 – 7 p.m., on Thursday, December 1, 2022 and from 9 – 10 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon.

Funeral services at 10 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Pastor Elton Dake, Mount Gilead Church, Iberia officiating.

Interment in the Seaton Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
