Obituary

Curtis George Warner, of Dixon, was born on November 5, 1956, at Belton, a son of Harold and Ruth (Rauscher) Warner, and departed this life at 3:32 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2017, at his residence. Curtis had attained the age of 60 years, 4 months, and 11 days.

Curtis was united in marriage on March 23, 1984, at St. Robert to Brenda L. Halcomb. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Curtis accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized early in life. He was a faithful member of the Hancock Christian Church. Curtis had worked in the maintenance department for Royal Canin USA, Rolla. He enjoyed fishing hunting, woodworking and mechanic work, but above all he cherished his time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Curtis will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to mourn the passing of Curtis include: his wife, Brenda Warner, Dixon; two daughters, Elizabeth Warner (Chad Smith), West Plains and Amy and Travis Mason, Lawrence, Kansas; one son, Matthew Warner (Jennifer Armstrong), St. Louis; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Warner and Lonnie and Judy Warner, all of Bucyrus; five grandchildren, Shelby Smith, Haden Smith, Emma Mason, Jackson Mason and Simon Mason; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted for Curtis at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Minister Gary Day, Hancock Christian Church officiating.

Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Curtis were Haden Smith, Chad Smith, Jackson Mason, Michael Newkirk, Will Horning and Ryan Bernard. Honorary pallbearers were Evangelista LeBron, Lonnie Warner, Larry Warner and Wesley Cormican.

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Hancock Christian Church with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
