Dale Rollins, of Dixon, was born on July 3, 1927, at Meta, a daughter of Dora and Clara (Wilson) Stokes and departed this life at 6:10 p.m., Monday evening, March 18, 2019, at the Victorian Place of Vienna. Mrs. Rollins had attained the age of 91 years, 8 months and 15 days.

Mrs. Rollins was united in marriage on March 15, 1948, at St. Louis to Warren Rollins and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 6, 2012; her parents, Dora and Clara Stokes; a son-in-law, James S. Jordan:  a daughter-n-law, Dianna Rollins; four brothers, James Stokes, Floyd Stokes, Walter Stokes and Wayne Stokes and one sister, Delphia Miner.

Mrs. Rollins was a member of the Sheppard Baptist Church of Dixon, a member of the Dixon Fire Babes for over thirty years and an active member of VFW Post 4238. She had worked for Brown Shoe Company, Dixon and later worked as a cook for the Dixon Middle School and Dixon High School as well as being a loving and devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. She loved playing Bingo and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Rollins include: one son, Danny Rollins, Dixon; one daughter, Jeanie Jordan, Osage Beach; two grandchildren, Michael Rollins, Rolla and Kari Hayes and her husband, Mark, Vienna; two great-grandchildren, Kamryn Hayes and Carter Hayes; two sisters, Eula Doyel and Marie Miller, both of Dixon; and many other relatives and friends.
