Darrin Ray "Tank" Swyers, 52, of Crocker, was born on April 23, 1969, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, a son of Arthur Irvan and Carol Ann (Vereide) Swyers and departed this life at 5:41 a.m., Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his residence.

Darrin had been employed as a welding fabricator, working on various boat lifts. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

Those left to mourn the passing of Darrin include: his companion for the past 32 years, Brenda Burton of Crocker and her son, Benny Burton; one brother and sister-in-law, Arthur, Jr.  and Shelly Swyers of Eldon; nephew, Matthew Swyers and nieces, Rebecca Swyers and Ashley Swyers and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur in 2013; his mother, Carol in 2001; his brother, Kevin Lee Swyers on September 16, 2011 and a niece, Sarah Hoff on June 23, 2019.

Visitation will be held for Darrin from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m., all on Friday, August 27, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Pastor Richard Harris, Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Crocker officiating.

Private interment will be held at a later date in Sligo Cemetery in Sligo, Missouri.
