David Bruce Archer, of Dixon, was born on March 4, 1947, at Decatur, Illinois, a son of Philip Theodore and Annie Lucille (Daylor) Archer, and departed this life at 9:19 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Dave had attained the age of 67 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

Dave was united in marriage to Patricia Jo Brown who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela and his parents.

Dave served over nine years in the United States Army and then worked for Baden Moving and Storage, Dixon for several years.

Those left to mourn the passing of Dave include: his son, Timothy "Tim" Archer, Dixon; one brother John Archer; one sister, Ruth Archer; and many other relatives and friends.

Dave's wishes were to be cremated with no services planned at this time.
