David McCoy Elam, age 42, of Richland, was born in Fresno, California on September 5, 1981, a son of Anthony Marion and Anna Lee (Ransome) Elam, and passed from this life on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinic, Columbia.

He was employed as a shift leader for the food service department, on Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, for several years. David enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Those left to mourn the passing of David include: his children, Hunter McCoy Elam, Blake Lee Anthony Elam, and Randi Lynne Elam, all of Crocker; his parents Anthony and Anna Elam, Richland; one brother, Jeremiah Elam, Crocker; one sister, Faith Chambers and husband, Scott, Crocker; the mother of his two sons, Jessica Elam, Crocker; three nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation for David Elam will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, with his funeral service following at 11:00 a.m., all in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 North Commercial, Crocker, Missouri 65452, with Bro. Jimmy Moore officiating.

Interment for David will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.  Pallbearers for David will be Christopher Elam, Seth Alexander, Joshua Ransome, Jeff White, Jim Ransome, and Jeffery Franklin.
