Delpert Carroll "Dell Mack" McKinnon, age 85 of Crocker, was born on July 15, 1937, at Waynesville, a son of Arthur and Vera (Farris) McKinnon and departed this life at 5:04 a.m., on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon.
Mr. McKinnon was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country faithfully from August 25, 1954 and was honorably discharged at Fort Leonard Wood on September 25, 1957.
He was a talented musician and was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame # 421 on November 11, 2016. When he wasn't writing, singing and recording music, Dell Mack was busy welding or driving for Play-Mor Trailers in Freeburg.
Those left to mourn but cherish the memories of Mr. McKinnon include; his devoted friend, Roberta Greer, Crocker; his brother, Leonard McKinnon and his sister, Mondana Jones, both of Lebanon; several nephews and nieces and many other relatives and dear friends.
Mr. McKinnon was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Vera and his siblings, Elmer McKinnon and Vada Lane.
Visitation will be held for Mr. McKinnon from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel at 416 North Commercial, Crocker.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 30, 2023 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 24350 Highway H, Waynesville, Missouri.
