Denny Ward York, age 57, of Dixon, was born on February 19, 1969, at Forbes Field Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas, a son of Terry Ward York and Marie Cortez, and passed from this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at his residence.

Denny had worked in construction and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #2298, St. Louis. Specially gifted at the detailed work. He had a lifelong joy of comic books.

Those left to mourn the passing of Denny include: his son and daughter in law, Chance and Allie York, Harrisonville, Missouri; two sisters and one brother in law, Dena and Jamie Johnson, Dixon and Amanda King, Waynesville; uncles and aunts, Donnie and Beverly York; Carole York; Gloria Leonard, Monica Kirby and Rick Cortez; nephews, Cory, Caden, Cale and Jake, nieces Miranda, Taylor and Danielle; and many other relatives and friends.

Denny was preceded in death by his father, Terry on March 5, 2019, and his mother, Marie on February 13, 2011.

In following Denny's wishes, there will be a graveside service May 30th, at 12:00 Noon, at the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon.
