Diane Marie Dochterman, of Crocker, was born on August 25, 1945, at Vancouver, Washington a daughter of Vance Fred and Hazel Elizabeth (Marion) Stover and departed this life at 11:10 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2021 in the Cox South Hospital, Springfield. Diane had attained the age of 75 years, 6 months and 10 days.

Diane was united in marriage on May 11, 1977, at Jefferson City, to Melvin David Dochterman. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 28, 2010; her father, Vance; her mother, Hazel and one sister, Jeane Corcoran.

Diane had worked as the city clerk for Crocker for many years, retiring in 2009. She had been a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and she enjoyed crocheting, reading, working in her flower garden and spending time with her family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Diane include: three sons, Mike Smith and wife Tracey of Crocker, their children Courtney, Veronica, Brandon, and one grandchild, Brody; Dean Smith and fiancé Christine Potter-Smith of Warrenton, their children Rachel, Jacob, stepdaughter Dakota, and five grandchildren, Trevor, Adilynn, Hailey, Carson and Liam; Chad Smith of Crocker and his son Jayson; two stepsons, Mark Dochterman and wife Tammy of Arizona, their two children Andrew, Amanda, and one grandchild, Jude and David Dochterman of Georgia and his son Aaron; two sisters, Karen Reilly, Rochester, Minnesota and Nancy Tweite, Stewartville, Minnesota; and many other relatives and friends.
