Diane Elizabeth Helms, age 66, of Crocker, was born on June 18, 1957, at Springfield, Illinois, a daughter of Harold Eugene "Dicky" and Shirley Ann (Barger) Farley and departed this life at 10:25 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Helms was united in marriage on August 7, 1976, at Springfield, Illinois to Mr. Freddie Joe Helms and to this union, four children were born. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold "Dicky" Farley.

Mrs. Helms was baptized early in life and had been a member of the Sweet Home Church near Crocker. She had worked for the Pulaski County Group Home as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed going to church, watching birds, the Kansas City Chiefs, but above all else, she loved being with her children and grandchildren.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Helms include: her husband, Fred Helms of the home near Crocker; her mother, Shirley Farley, Springfield, Illinois; her children, Mandy Ware and her husband, Kevin; Zach Helms and his fiancé, Jessica Heenan; Bree French and her husband, Daniel and Dalton Helms, all of Crocker; her siblings and their spouses, Denny (Sheila) Farley, Duane (Amanda) Farley and Darla Drury; her eight grandchildren, Zoe Wilson, Kayli Ware, Brock Ware, Brooke French, Lettie French, Saylor French, Cali Helms and Colton Helms; her best friend, Barb Proctor; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Mrs. Helms from 11 a.m. until the time of her service at 12 noon, on Friday, September 29, 2023 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Pastor Lee A. Todd officiating.

Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery near Crocker under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
