Donald Lloyd Becker, of Jefferson City, formerly of Crocker, was born on August 10, 1938, at Crocker, a son of Otto Charles and Sallie Carrie (Greenstreet) Becker and departed this life on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his residence in Jefferson City. He had attained the age of 82 years, 8 months and 1 day.

Don was united in marriage on May 2, 1960, at Crocker to Marcella Mae Easter and to this union two children were born. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Don Becker on May 30, 2012; his parents; brothers, John, Russell, Glenn and Floyd Becker and sisters, Betty Clairborn and Shirley Dye.

Don was baptized on August 26, 1961 and at the time of his passing was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Jefferson City. He enjoyed studying his Bible and having his grandsons read it to him.

He started out driving a gas truck delivering to Ft. Leonard Wood and later working for Howard's Redi-Mix. In 1969, he began running Don's Sinclair station across the street from the Crocker High School. This is where he became friends to so many. In 1972, Don and Marcella purchased the cattle farm, Don spent many hours working to improve his farm where he produced both top of the market cattle and quality hay. In 2017, Don became ill so he and Marcella moved to Jefferson city where they could be closer to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He found enjoyment in woodworking, making beautiful birdhouses, trees and presents for his great-grandchildren. He always enjoyed a good cup of coffee and conversation with friends.

He was a farmer, who worked hard, a breadwinner who provided, a husband who loved his wife deeply and a father who cherished his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife, Marcella; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ken Adamson; three grandchildren, Holly (Tyler) Berney and Cory and Blake Adamson; two great-grandchildren, Sophie and Parker and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Don at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, in the Crocker Christian Church with Larry Richardson officiating.

Interment will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Don: Cory Adamson, Blake Adamson, Ken Adamson, Ray Becker, Tyler Berney, Greg Posten and Ronnie Walker, John Peine as honorary pallbearer.
