Obituary

Donald "Don" Weaver, of Crocker, Missouri, was born on June 17, 1941, in Sigourney, Iowa.  He was the only son of Floyd G. and Nellie J. (Greenlee) Weaver.  He departed this life 10:26 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. Don had attained the age of 76 years, 9 months and 4 days.

Don was united in marriage on July 27, 1963, at Crocker Christian Church, to Donna Jean Adamson.  To this union, two children were born.  Don was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his father, Floyd who was killed in action during WWII; his mother Nellie; his father, who raised him, Nicholas E. Feldaverd II; and one sister, Linda Arnold.

Don was a member of the Harley Owners Group of America; a lifetime member of the American Motorcyclist Association, and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.  He worked as an office equipment technician, and an over the road truck driver.  However, he said he was best at being retired.

Those left to mourn the passing of Don include: one daughter, Diana Weaver, of Kansas City, Missouri; one son, Daniel "Duffer" Weaver, of Osage Beach, Missouri; two grandchildren, Dakota and Brendan Weaver, one brother, Nicholas E. Feldaverd III, and his wife, Rose, of Chandler, Arizona; one sister, Debra Kiser, and her husband, Perry, of Maumelle, Arkansas; his Aunt Ester (Weaver) Schrock, of Ladysmith, Wisconsin; Aunt Goldie (Weaver) Miller, of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania, and Aunt Velma (Weaver) Yoder, and husband Dean, of Warsaw, Missouri; beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Don was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, tinkering, and traveling.  Having a bit of a wild streak in his younger days, he loved racing cars and motorcycles.  Some of his fondest memories were traveling on "Gypsy" (Harley Davidson), and later with the sidecar, his and Donna's Honda Gold Wing, "Sweet Thing", and finally "Buck" (Harley Davidson).  He never met a stranger, and would be happy to share stories of his favorite trips through Deal's Gap in North Carolina, collecting his Iron Butt Certification (2005), or anytime he took a "shortcut" (which was never short).  Regardless of the mode of transportation, it was always an adventure.

When not attending events for his grandkids, or taking care of something for his kids, he could be found tinkering in his garage (or anyone else's) on a project that needed a friend.  Diamonds in the rough, as he liked to call them.  He loved the challenge of anything unfixable, whether it be a sports car, water heater, or lawn mower.  Duffer would tease, "What do you do when you have an impossible task?  You call Dad!"

Officiating will be Don's cousin, Elwin Dean Yoder, of Warsaw, Missouri.

Interment will be at St. John's (Swede) Cemetery, Richland, Missouri, under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker, Missouri.  Pallbearers for Don will be LaMonte Yoder, Jeff Adamson, Pete Jeffries, Darin Adamson, Nate Adamson, and Kenny Adamson.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Adamson and Shon Adamson.
