Donna Bell Newcomb left us to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2018. She left behind her husband, Harold (Bud) Newcomb; sisters, Della Rhinesmith and Jeannie Tropp; brothers, Sam Bell and Daryl Bell; daughters, Katrina Emigh and her husband, Michael, Cherie Rigsby and her husband, Gordon, Lisa Schwandt and her husband, John; a son, Hank Newcomb and his wife Kelly; grandchildren Kassandre Boorom and her husband, Daniel; Richard Couton, Justin Laughlin, John Howard Schwandt, Geoff Rigsby and his wife, Michelle, Evan Rigsby, Nathan Rigsby, Joshua Newcomb, Caleb Newcomb and Eligh Newcomb; great-grandchildren, Mason Boorom, Ethyn Boorom, Brian Boorom, Fred Rigsby, Ada Rigsby and Logan Schwandt; and many other relatives and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Alta Winona Bell and three children, Kelly Lynn, Scott Robert and Courtney Alexander; brothers, James Bell, Jack Bell and a sister, Bonnie Bell.
As you can tell by the names following hers, she had a full and love filled life that began on August 4 th , 1936 in South Milford, Indiana as the 4th of 8 children.

She was blessed to travel and see the wonders of the world, but she was never happier than when she found Crocker, Missouri in 1977 with then husband Jack Reade and daughter, Katrina, after retiring from the Army. She then started what was then known as Crocker Tax and Accounting, in the small back room of a hair salon. Donna later bought the corner building on Main Street that was a flower shop. She built the business and helped her community for thirty years. She prided herself in building relationships with her clients that reached beyond the boundaries of this small town preparing 1000s of tax returns for individuals and companies around the world.

Anything her community needed, Donna was the first in line to help. From the Pulaski County Water Board to getting the town a swimming pool, Donna worked diligently to give back part of the bounty of her life.

On February 6, 1993, at Crocker, she married Harold (Bud) Newcomb who she often exclaimed was the love of her life. He gave her the many children she wanted that she was unable to have on her own in the sons and daughters and grandchildren that all loved her and brought her a joy she only dreamed of. Children were one of Donna's great joys, as well as her love of the Lord. She and Bud were members of the First Baptist Church of Crocker.

Donna leaves behind a legacy of strength and fortitude. She taught us all what it is to be a woman working in a man's world and breaking the glass ceiling for us all to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to the First Baptist Church, Crocker for the Crocker Food Pantry and the Crocker Ministerial Alliance.
