Donna Louise Parker, age 104, of Rolla, formerly of Dixon, was born in Pulaski County, Missouri on August 23, 1920 a daughter of Everett Cleet and Letitia Veretta (Wools) Prewett and passed from this life on Saturday, March 1, 2025 in the Presbyterian Manor, Rolla.
Mrs. Parker was united in marriage on November 28, 1948 at Dixon to Chester DeForest Parker. He preceded his wife in death on January 9, 1983, in addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Letitia and her siblings, Letha Miller, Marjorie Olinger, Robert Prewett, Norman Prewett, Kenneth Prewett and Lester (Bud) Prewett.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dixon and later attended the United Methodist Church in Rolla and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Parker and her husband, Chester were owner and operators of the IGA Store in Dixon. She later enjoyed a career with Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance, Ketners Clothing store in Dixon and then she worked with Arnold Bassett and retired from Stout Realty of Dixon.
Mrs. Parker was an accomplished artist and had many beautiful paintings and drawings. She also enjoyed making quilts, crocheting afgans, playing bridge and traveling with her sister, Juanita, to Spain, France, Hawaii, Alaska and Las Vegas.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her sisters, Marilyn Brown of St. James and Juanita Wisdom of Rolla and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of her service at 12 noon, on Thursday, March 6, 2025 in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Tim Cook, Rolla officiating.
Interment will be in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 205 West 3rd Street, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Parker will be Stewart Brown, Mike Elliott, Rodney Prewett, Josh Brown, Bryan Brown and Norman Berra.
Memorials are suggested by the family to the Good Samaritan Fund, Presbyterian Manor, Rolla, MO with envelopes available at the funeral home the day of her service or c/o Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, P.O. Box GG, Dixon, MO 65459.
