Obituary

Donna Kay (Wilkes) Thomas, age 78, of Dixon was born on November 29, 1947, in Crocker, Missouri, a daughter of Alva Herman and Ruby Lucille (Hedrick) Wilkes and passed from this life on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in Mercy Hospital, Lebanon.

She was preceded in death by her father on July 8, 1962; her mother on July 22, 1962; one brother, Billy Drue "Dude" Wilkes on April 12, 2010; two sisters, Betty Sue Williams on May 13, 1990, and Nancy Lou Layman on July 15, 2021; and the father of her children, Eddie York on July 3, 2019.

Donna was baptized early in life at the Crocker Christian Church and later rededicated her life to the Lord while attending the Gospel Tabernacle Church, Dixon. She graduated from Iberia High School and later went to  cosmetology school in the state of California. During her working life she was employed by Hauck Chevrolet, St Robert; worked in a beauty shop; was the City Clerk, for the city of Dixon; the Dixon Auto Parts Store; and Post Pawn, prior to her retirement. She loved family get-togethers; watching her grandchildren playing ball; Cardinal ball games; fishing; gambling and watching Jeopardy.

Those left to mourn the passing of Donna include: her daughters, Nicki Kloeppel, and Amber and James Barber, all of Dixon; five grandchildren, Chase and wife, Carlea Kloeppel, Cody Kloeppel, Colton Bowman, Caleb Kloeppel, Cooper Lawson, Lane and wife, Shanna Barber, and Brenna and husband,  Jacob Ogle; eight grandchildren, Dalton, Oaklynn, Ava, Zaylee, Catherine, Hank, Johnny and Lainey; sister-in-law, Patsy Wilkes; nephew; nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Donna from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 P.M., on Monday, June 8, 2026, in  the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, 205 West Third Street, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with Pastor Patrick Singleton officiating.

Per Donna's request a private inurnment will be held in the Crocker Cemetery, Crocker, Missouri at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Crocker Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home or C/O Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, P.O. Box GG, Dixon, MO  65459.

Arrangements were under the care of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
