Edwin Gerald Salvino, age 88, of Dixon, was born on November 17, 1935, in Seattle, Washington, a son of Eddie and Dorothy (Hansen) Salvino and departed this life at 10:08 p.m., Tuesday evening, January 16, 2024 in the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Ft. Leonard Wood.

Ed was a United States Marine Corp veteran, having served his country from May 28, 1958 until his honorable discharge on September 19, 1962 and attaining the rank of Corporal. He then worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement and at the time of his passing he had been working in the tool department at Lowes in St. Robert for the past thirteen years.

Ed was preceded in death by his companion and soul mate of over twenty-three years, Prentice Holder on May 7, 2018 and his parents, Eddie and Dorothy Salvino.

He is survived by Sherry Adamson and her family and other close family and friends.

In following Ed's wishes, he was cremated under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Interment will be at a later date and time in the Gasconade Cemetery near Dixon.
