Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Carroll, age 85, of Dixon, was born in Pulaski County a daughter of Walter Franklin and Alice Lee (Matthews) Alexander and departed this life at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023, at her son's residence near Dixon.
Mrs. Carroll was united in marriage in Arkansas to Mr. Bobbie George Carroll who preceded her in death on August 21, 2022. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Walter; her mother, Alice; and three brothers, Winston Alexander, James Alexander and Leroy Alexander.
Mrs. Carroll accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior and was baptized early in life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dixon and had served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Mrs. Carroll enjoyed playing golf, crocheting, playing cards, softball, doing stain glass and family get togethers, but above all, she cherished the time that was spent with her family.
Beth began working for the courts systems in September of 1969. She later took office as the Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Deeds on January 1, 1989 and faithfully served her communities until she retired on June 30, 1997.
Those left to mourn but cherish the memories of Mrs. Carroll include: her son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Sherry Carroll, Dixon; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Debbie Alexander, Dixon; sister-in-law, Martha Alexander; her four grandchildren, Joshua (Tobin) Carroll; Jentry (Eric) Easter; Bailey Maxwell and Trent (Samantha) Maxwell; her five great-grandchildren, Jaelyn Carroll, Ezekiel Carroll, Avery Easter, Clayton Easter and Bo Easter as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held for Mrs. Carroll from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 noon, on Friday, February 10, 2023 in the First Baptist Church, Dixon with Rocky Carroll officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House or the Donor's Choice with envelopes available at the church or the office of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
