Ellen Annette Murdock, age 94, passed away on June 6th, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She was born January 24, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri to her parents, Fredrick W. Forthman and Verdi J. Biederman Forthman.

She attended Jennings High School and studied to become a legal secretary.  Following WW2, she married James D. Murdock.  They raised a son and daughter and resided in St. Louis for most of their married life. They were active members at Zion Lutheran Church.

Ellen worked for many years at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis as an executive administrative secretary.  She and her husband retired to a ranch in Dixon, Missouri. In later years, Ellen moved to Salt Lake City, to live with her daughter.

She was the beloved mother of Catherine Fischer of Salt Lake City.  She was a loving grandmother to Daniel, Beth, Jesse, and Kari.  She was great-grandmother to Noah, Keivon and Teddy and was a loving aunt to Gerald Moeller of St. Louis, Missouri.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters and brother, her husband, James D. Murdock, her son, James F. Murdock and her daughter in law, Barbara Murdock.

Ellen's family and friends are thankful for the blessing she was to us all.

Graveside services for Ellen will be held on August 11 in the Dixon Cemetery, Dixon, Missouri.
