Elva (Joy) May Talley, 65, of Crocker, was born on September 18, 1956, to Ramona Steel Joy and departed this life at 8:20 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2022, at her residence in Crocker.

Elva was a United States Army veteran and had retired from the Missouri State Correctional Department where she served as a correctional officer. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading and taking care of all her animals.

Those left to mourn the passing of Elva include: her children, Amanda Miller of Crocker and Raymond Talley of Dixon; her three grandchildren, Kyle, Gabby and Mia; her brother Alden Wade; her sisters, Rose Wade, Heidi Wade, Louella Dalziel and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Chester Steel.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 noon with her memorial service at 12 noon on Friday, January 28, 2022 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker.
