Ethel Faithe Anderson, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Dixon, was born on October 11, 1945, at Kittanning, Pennsylvania a daughter of James C. and Ethel (Slagle) Preteroti and departed this life at 12:31 P.M., Sunday, September 27, 2015, in the Mark Twain Caring Center, Poplar Bluff. Faithe had been in failing health and had attained the age of 69 years, 11 months and 16 days.

Faithe was united in marriage on June 28, 1969, at Templeton, Pennsylvania to John Ernest Anderson and to this union five children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Gabriel and Grayson Light; two brothers, Vincent Preteroti and James Preteroti and one infant sister, Yulanda.

Faithe was baptized as a teenager and served as a missionary for many years as well as being a housewife and homemaker.

Those left to mourn the passing of Faithe include: her husband, John Anderson, Sr., Poplar Bluff; three sons and daughters-in-law, John, Jr. and Terri Lynn Anderson, Frankfurt, Indiana; James and Sherri Anderson, Greenfield, Indiana and Joshua and Amber Anderson, Kearney, Nebraska; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Randy Hessler, Revillo, South Dakota and Jennifer and Paul Light, Mitchell, South Dakota; one sister, Duchess Preteroti, Salem, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren and one expected in the near future; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted for Faithe at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015, in the Hephzibah Holiness Church, Dixon with Rev. Bob Jones of the state of Indiana officiating.

Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Faithe were John Anderson, Jr., James Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Kenneth Hessler, Benjamin Hessler, Daniel Hessler, Paul Light, Jr. and Randall Hessler, Jr.
