Obituary

Eula Beatrice Doyel, of Dixon, was born on March 24, 1929, at Meta a daughter of Dora Lee and Clara Edna (Wilson) Stokes and departed this life at 1:07 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019, in the Westphalia Hills. Mrs. Doyel had attained the age of 90 years, 1 month and 24 days.

Mrs. Doyel was united in marriage on November 8, 1945 at Freeburg to William Thomas Doyel and to this union, four children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 11, 1981; one son, William L. "Billy Lee" Doyel on May 3, 1986; her parents, Dora and Clara Stokes; four brothers, James, Floyd, Walter and Wayne Stokes; three sisters, Delphia Miner, Dale Rollins and Marie Miller; one nephew, Floyd Stokes, Jr. and two nieces, Shirley Wise and Jeanie Jordan.

Mrs. Doyel was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Brinktown and the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Dixon; the American Legion Post No. 354, Brinktown; the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4238, Dixon; the Brinktown Ladies Quilting Club and the Dixon Fire Babes. She had worked for Brown Shoe Company, Dixon retiring after 35 years as well as being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Mrs. Doyel enjoyed bowling, sewing, quilting, crocheting, doing ceramics, gardening, playing Bingo and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Doyel include: her son, Lawrence "PeeWee" Doyel, Dixon; her two daughters, Kathie (Bill) Kitchens, Holts Summit; Joanna Doyel, Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Crystal (Spencer), Tina (Kevin), Kim (Bill), Angie (Brent), James (Heather) and Tonya; thirteen great-grandchildren, Justin (Jacqueline), Corey (Kelsi), Ashley, Cole, Turner, Kylie, Paige, Katelyn, Jade, Trevor, Camie, Zoey and Annabell; three great-great-grandchildren, Jaylee, Marlee and Kynnedi; and many other relatives and friends.

Interment will be in the Guardian Angels Cemetery, Brinktown under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.

Masses are preferred by the family with envelopes available at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Brinktown or the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
