Eula Mae Sanders Edwards, of Crocker, was born in Crocker, on April 12, 1922, the daughter of Wilda Sanders and departed this life at 4:55 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014, in the Life Care Center of Waynesville. Mrs. Edwards had attained the age of 92 years, 6 months, and 27 days.
Eula was united in marriage on June 14, 1939, to Roy Havin Edwards and was happily married for 49 years. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 27, 1989; her mother; three brothers, Lloyd, Clyde and Vernon; and five sisters, Lemoan, Leona, Mae, Ida and Grace.
Eula was a devoted member of the St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Crocker for many years. Eula loved working in her yard and had a passion for animals.
Eula was employed at the Glove Factory and Sharp's Supplies in Crocker. Her last job was at the Fort Leonard Wood Hospital as a Physical Examination Assistant from which she retired on December 31, 1987.
Eula leaves to mourn her passing numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Eula at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014, in the St. Cornelius Catholic Church, Crocker, with the Rev. Henry Ussher celebrating.
Interment was in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker. Relatives and Friends served as pallbearers for Eula.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Loving Paws Animal Shelter in Crocker with envelopes available at the St. Cornelius Catholic Church or the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
