Evelyn Mae Fagerlin, of Dixon, was born on December 24, 1935, at St. Louis, a daughter of John and Juanita Bell (Rowe) Buschen and departed this life at 10:20 a.m., Sunday, November 22, 2015, at her residence near Dixon. Mrs. Fagerlin had attained the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 28 days.
Mrs. Fagerlin was united in marriage on October 1, 1955, at Chicago, Illinois to Melvin Fagerlin and to this union, two children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on November 3, 1998; her father, John; her mother, Juanita; and one sister, Juanitta Louise Martin on October 13, 2013.
Mrs. Fagerlin was a United States Army veteran having honorably served her country. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rolla; the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No 4238, Dixon and the St. Robert American Legion Post No. 331. She had worked as a Data Processer for the Sporting Newspaper, St. Louis and later for Browning Arms as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. Mrs. Fagerlin enjoyed playing cards, sewing and being with her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Fagerlin include: two sons, John Fagerlin, state of North Carolina and Roger Kopp and his wife, Mary, Nixa; one daughter, Linda Fagerlin, Dixon; seven grandchildren, Adam, Mary, Haley, Melanie, Montez, Jennifer and Daniel; seven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Fagerlin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Stephen Kamprath, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rolla officiating.
Interment with full military honors was in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Relatives and friends served as pallbearers for Mrs. Fagerlin.
