Faye R. Lamb, of Cuba, was born on February 11, 1922, at Iberia a daughter of George Washington and Jenny (Ramsey) Bond and departed this life at 3:40 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at her residence in Cuba. Mrs. Lamb had attained the age of 93 years, 7 months and 11 days.
Mrs. Lamb was united in marriage on January 6, 1944, at Kansas City, Kansas to Charles H. Lamb and to this union, two children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 25, 2001; her parents; one great-grandson, Benjamin Casey Lamb; one brother, George Allen Bond and one sister, Minnie Bond.
Mrs. Lamb was a lifetime member of the Mt. View Church of Christ and a current member of the Cuba Church of Christ. She had taught 6th grade at the Crocker Schools retiring after 25 years. Mrs. Lamb enjoyed being with her grandchildren and all of her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Lamb include: one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Dorothy Lamb, Shakopee, Minnesota; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Darrell Layman, Cuba, MO; five grandchildren, Darin, Toni, Casey, Zachary and Lukas; seventeen great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Lamb will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015 and from 10 - 11 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2015 all in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker
Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Lamb at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2015, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Bro. Louis Garbi, Eldon Church of Christ officiating and Chaplain Jim Layman.
Interment will be in the Livingston Cemetery near Iberia under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Lamb are Darin Layman, Brian Edgar, Casey Lamb, Zachary Lamb, Lukas Lamb, Blake Edgar and Drew Layman. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Lamb and Jackson Lamb.
